Ah, Road America, the longest track on the IndyCar season calendar. It makes people wonder how drivers can cover such a long course.

Measuring 4.048 miles long, it’s the longest on the calendar. It will last 55 laps, which is 222.64 miles in total.

We’ll start off with the likely contenders, but anyone is possible. Let’s start with Alexander Rossi, a driver who has been on the rise the last couple weeks. With a top-five in the Indy 500 followed up by a podium which he almost won, can he add on to those? He also was fastest in first practice. Also, he had a dominant victory in 2019, his last win to date. Never leave Rossi out at this racetrack.

Scott Dixon is also pretty good at this track, with 2 wins in five years. Can he turn his luck around? Don’t leave out Power, Newgarden or Palou among the other recent winners.

The track is getting a repavement for 2023 at the end of the year. But before then, it’s going to be pretty rough out there.

Who will conquer the 14-turn race course. And can Josef Newgarden take home $1 million if he wins?

The Sonsio Grand Prix of Road America is this Sunday.
